From humble surroundings on a small farm on Whidbey Island in Western Washington state, the colt for whom the name Prestigio had been carefully selected was destined for champion status from his birth, March 6, 1993. Blessed with superior conformation and a long gently sloping shoulder, it was predicted from the time he was a yearling that this very correct long legged colt would also be a big powerful mover.

In the show ring, with superior conformation, unbeatable straightforward movement and an air of nobility, Prestigio is without equal. It is a rare  case when superior conformation and exceptional movement are blended to produce such a fine example of the Andalusian breed.

His sire, Castiblanco III, is credited for this stallion's near flawless conformation while his dam, Electra CV, and her sire, Jugueton V, are praised for his unrivaled movement.

Prestigio is approved by the Jefatura de Cria Caballar as a breeding stallion for pure Spanish mares, and was passed as such at the age of three.

In the years 2000 and 2001 Prestigio successfully bred a number of purebred Andalusian mares in the U.S. and Canada. Their proud owners shared our excitement in the arrival of their foals. These youngsters are already winning their weanling futurity classes and junior halter classes at IALHA sanctioned shows across the country.

Prestigio made his debut in the dressage arena in 1999 where he scored a 65 on his first day, training level, with his rider and trainer, Tammy Bowles.

At Celebration 2000 in Las Vegas he thrilled the spectators with his noble demeanor and spectacular trot. His owner, Patty Jacob of Seattle, WA,  and his trainers, Tammy Bowles and Sue Burkman of Perisian Park, were very proud to accept his awards for Champion Stallion of 6-7 years and  for Best Movement Champion under the respected visiting Spanish judges.

In 2001 Prestigio secured a new honor with a Blue Ribbon in the Breed Specialty Division of IALHA for Pure Spanish Stallions, 5 yr. and over, judged by Esteban Bache Franche of Barcelona, Spain.

USA Equestrian, the official magazine of the former American Horse Show Association, featured Prestigio on its cover in the July/August issue of 2002. This issue also included a feature article on Andalusians and Lusitanos as rising stars in the horse show arenas across the USA.

Another recent honor is the dedication of the white porcelain Lladro statue  which was previously awarded to him by the Foundation for the Pure Spanish Horse as The Prestigio Perpetual Trophy for Best Movement. As we envisioned, Prestigio is becoming a "legend in his own time".
