Elevated… Elastic… Exceptional… El Cid is the 6th of 7 colts born to our imported Cartujano line broodmare, Filigrana X. He was the first bay colt born to our National champion stallion, Prestigio and is the perfect culmination of the produce of Filgrana. The Cria Caballar approved him as "apto" in July 2003 at age 3. Cid measured at 16.1 H at age three, He has a beautiful head and neck, excellent bone mass and powerful straight movement. In early 2004 his dressage training began under Janne Sleeper of Camano Island, WA. Janne is impressed with his work ethic and calls him "very tractable". We believe that this young horse has both the talent and the physical attributes to make a statement for the Andalusian breed in open dressage competition. His powerful movement with suspension is making way for supple lateral work and glimpses of the passage, piaffe and canter pirouettes to come. |
